Last December when I was doing some Christmas shopping I ran across this delightful little appliance called a “Cake Pop Maker.” I’d obviously heard of cake pops before, but I had no idea they were so easy to make at home with this little gem (which I found on Amazon for about $20.) I also didn’t realize how many delicious things you could make in it besides cake! Turns out it’s ideal for creating bite-size versions of your favorite dishes in minutes!

Cake Pop Maker

My personal favorite is corn dogs! These delicious little morsels definitely took me back to my childhood and they are so simple to make!

Mix up the corn bread according to the package directions. Cut the hot dogs into small pieces. Pour about 1/2 a tablespoon of the corn bread mix into each well of the cake pop maker. Add a piece of hot dog to each well. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the corn bread starts to brown. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Directions

Place a small piece of dough in the bottom of each well. Top with about a teaspoon of marinara, 1 or 2 mini pepperoni, a sprinkle of mozzarella, and another piece of dough. Don’t worry about them looking perfect! Mine looked pretty messy before they were cooked but they turned out great. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until pizza dough starts to brown.

Serve with some veggies and a little ranch for dipping and you’ve got a great kid-friendly meal!

Turkey Taco Bites

My daughter-in-law Kaitlyn got this recipe from her college roommate and says she used to make them as a quick and easy meal while studying. Back then she cooked them in the oven but we decided to try making them in the cake pop maker and were delighted by how easy and delicious they were!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small can diced green chilies

Cake Pop Maker

Directions

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined. Add about a tablespoon of the mix to each well of the cake pop maker. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the taco bites are browned.

Serve with your favorite salsa for dipping.

Blueberry Pancake Poppers

These fun pancake poppers are a super easy breakfast idea that the whole family will love! Perfect for weekdays, weekends, or on the go! I love the fact that they’re dunkable. :-)

Ingredients

One quick note….while I love my homemade pancake mix, I sometimes use Kodiak Cakes because they are 100% whole grain. Kodiak Cakes is actually based in Park City, UT – just about 30 minutes from my house!

Mix up the pancakes according to the package directions. Pour about 1/2 tablespoon of the pancake mix into each well of the cake pop maker. Add a blueberry to each well. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the pancakes just start to brown.

Serve with pure maple syrup for dipping. So good!

Cinnamon Roll Dippers

These are a real crowd-pleaser at my house. There’s just something about bite-sized cinnamon rolls that is irresistible!

Ingredients

  • Store-bought cinnamon roll dough

Cake Pop Maker

Directions

Simply break off a piece of cinnamon roll dough and roll it into a ball. Make sure to fold the cinnamon pieces to the inside so they don’t melt off onto the cake pop maker. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until slightly browned.

Serve with icing for dipping.
